As a Program Manager, Michelle works closely with the program delivery team to design and deliver innovative educational experiences and programs for clients and participants. Her responsibilities include sourcing, planning, coordination, material development, communications, and on-site implementation of programs. In addition, she serves as a liaison between clients, faculty, staff, participants and suppliers.
Prior to joining Duke CE, Michelle worked for the City of Raleigh in a project management role. She forged public-private partnerships to foster meaningful civic engagement and facilitated local leadership development programs. She worked with the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau on a “Locals Guide” web page to be featured on their Visit Raleigh website. Additionally, she contributed to the UNC Chapel Hill School of Government’s Community Engagement Learning Exchange blog. Before that, Michelle worked for Special Olympics North Carolina in event and volunteer management. In this role, she developed and maintained strategic relationships with volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and local facilities to execute events for nearly 2,000 athletes.
Michelle graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014, with a BS in Business Administration through Kenan-Flagler Business School. Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys running, triathlons, playing soccer, and baking.
