Nathan brings a global perspective to the Program Manager team with experience living in Hong Kong, London, and Singapore, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. With a decade of experience in higher education, his teaching background has been at various levels of academia where his pedagogy emphasized experiential learning. He also brings the skills of advocacy to leadership programs from his time working in legislative affairs.
Nathan’s areas of expertise include strategic planning, design thinking, and equity, inclusion & belonging. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Feminist Studies from Duke and previously served on a Strategic Task Force of the Duke University Board of Trustees.
Nathan earned his Ph.D. from Duke focusing on modern and contemporary architecture. He also holds an M.Sc. in Urban Studies and Human Geography from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an M.A. in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College. He completed his B.A. in History & International Studies at the University of Richmond.
Nathan participates in the local community by volunteering as a member of the Board of Directors of the Artists’ Alliance of the Triangle and by fostering pets for the SPCA of Wake County.
