Jane Sommers-Kelly is a Managing Director at Duke Corporate Education responsible for Duke CE’s China market entry strategy, as well as designing and delivering programs for a portfolio of global clients. Jane frequently coaches executives, bringing her business and development experience to these individuals. She is certified in Hogan and Leadership Versatility Index. Designing for business results, and measuring these results post-program, are two elements she considers important to consider. Previously she spent 16 years in Europe, firstly in Finance in Eastern Europe and lastly at INSEAD as Director of Company Specific Programmes within Executive Education.
She joined INSEAD in 1998 as Director of Development building relations with US-based corporates, and then was asked to start-up INSEAD OnLine as Managing Director. Here she created an online learning capability for INSEAD so that clients could extend their learning beyond the classroom. Her team was able as a result to design and deliver Blended Learning Programs with numerous clients and web-links for all clients.
Prior to INSEAD, Jane spent 13 years in the financial industry: six on Wall Street with JP Morgan investment banking in New York City and then with Bankers Trust running their Czech and Slovak businesses from Prague.
Jane earned an MBA from INSEAD and graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead Scholar. She is a Trustee at the Hotchkiss School and was a Trustee of the United Church of Christ Chapel Hill through 2012.
