Jake Kiser currently works as the GEN Director for Duke Corporate Education’s African office in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, he works with African educators and Duke CE client teams, helping to design creative learning journeys and involve the most effective faculty. Based out of Durham, NC, Jake has worked with Duke CE globally, including South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, India, and China. He focuses on unique challenges facing leaders in emerging economies.
Jake also has previous pan-African experience as the operational and finance part of the founding team of MyAgro, an NGO in Bamako, Mali, closely affiliated with One Acre Fund. He lived and worked in Mali, co-designing and launching MyAgro’s pilot program, enrolling over 300 small plot farmers on a micro-savings platform conducted over mobile phones. During this time, Jake furthered his love of portraiture and storytelling, and created several photographic series of Malian farmers. He now documents weddings and works on other photography projects.
Jake has his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and BS from the University of Maryland.
