Cameron Hardesty

Contracting Specialist

As Contracting Specialist for Duke Corporate Education, Cameron is responsible for establishing and maintaining process and procedures that ensure legal compliance by the firm in the areas of Client, Educator and Vendor contracts.

Cameron brings eight years of progressive experience working within the legal industry involving small and large corporations, organizations, private law practices, and government entities.  Cameron is especially passionate about researching, strategizing and advising leadership on the appropriate methods of implementation and negotiation, while serving as a legal advocate for the protection of the company. Cameron’s experience includes managing legal teams, conceptualizing legal compliance programs, surmounting risk management and operational issues, improving interdepartmental work flow and communication, developing and maintaining business and community relations, and managing and reviewing the development and maintenance of contracts.

Prior to joining Duke CE, Cameron received his Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law.  During his study and while working within a criminal defense law practice, Cameron dedicated his time and energy serving as a peak performance strategist for at-risk teenagers.  In 2015, Cameron launched a non-profit organization called The 4th Down Foundation in order to inspire growth in the community and successfully provide mentoring services for high school students.  Inspired from his experience playing Division 1A football at North Carolina State University, this program centers around youth personal development and continues to successfully teach effective methods in applying leadership principles to academics, athletics and personal life.
