Jeanett is an accomplished executive with experience driving HR strategy and operations in local and global organisations in various sectors. Jeanett She has led HR, Procurement and Facilities Management teams and strategic initiatives in fast- changing business environments. Her focus has been on around culture, change and transformation in dynamic, customer-focused, growth businesses where the attraction, retention, and development of top talent is one of the key business drivers. Jeanett has a passion for people, culture, and digital transformation.

As a mentor and coach, Jeanett helps leaders achieve personal and professional goals. She received several consummate achievements in her career as an HR Professional and was awarded the Future of HR Hall of Fame Award in 2017, a Lifetime Award for her contribution to the HR fraternity, impacting business, performance, and culture through innovative human capital management strategies, for more than 10 years. Jeanett received the IDC Innovative Leader Award as well as the Best Leader in People Development. She was nominated as CHRO of the Year in 2021.

Jeanett has worked with C-suite executives and served as Non-Executive Director on Boards of various companies for more than twenty years. She is currently Group HR Executive and Director on the board of JSE listed Sanlam Limited and Sanlam Life, and is a member of the Social, Ethics and Sustainability Committee.

In her community development work Jeanett previously served on the board of Save the Children South Africa, a global NGO that focuses on the rights of children; the Pan-African Capacity Building Advisory Board as well as the Advisory Board of Chief HR Officer South Africa.

Jeanett holds Master in Business Leadership and B. Com Business Management (Unisa SBL); Senior Executive Programme (Harvard); Advanced Management Programme (Insead) and M.Phil Management Coaching – in process with (University of Stellenbosch Business School). Jeanett started her career as a Professional Nurse and Midwife before pursuing her career in Human Resources. A creative and adaptable self-starter with experience of elegantly navigating careers and changes in business dynamics. Jeanett has presented at conferences/events as a speaker on various topics around HR and leadership. A lifelong learner, lover of nature and travel.
