Financial Times Makes It Five in a Row

Duke Corporate Education has been ranked the world’s #1 provider of custom executive education for the fifth consecutive year, according to the 14 May 2007 edition of the London-based Financial Times (FT).

Blair Sheppard, Duke CE’s CEO, noted that “the increasingly competitive executive education marketplace means all the top providers are raising their game; we are delighted with this trend because it means that clients are the ultimate winners.“

“We are pleased to share this honor with our European partner, the London School of Economics; with our partner in India, the Middle East and West Asia, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad; and of course with our parent, Duke University,” Sheppard added. He also had special praise for Duke CE’s network of outstanding global faculty.

FT’s annual survey, the results of which are based primarily on interviews with executives in client organizations, likewise placed Duke CE at the top of its market in 2003 through 2006. Combined rankings for custom programs at Duke CE and open enrollment programs at the Fuqua School of Business placed Duke University as a whole in the number one position in executive education for the fourth time running.

No other school even comes close; in fact Harvard and IMD would have had to improve their overall score by 23 percent to stand a chance of knocking them off the top this year."
