Partners Take Home ASTD Awards

Congratulations to Duke CE clients and partners Caterpillar, IBM, and Merck, who were among a select group of companies praised in the October 2005 issue of ASTD’s Training + Development, which annually cites organizations that demonstrate enterprise-wide success as a result of employee learning and development.  The 29 leading organizations that received the Building Talent, Enterprise-wide, Supported by the Organization’s Leaders, Fostering a Thorough Learning Culture [BEST] award, were evaluated on these criteria: 

• Evidence that learning has value in the organization's culture
• Evidence of a link between learning and performance
• Evidence that the organization has leveraged technology in learning
• Evidence of investment in learning and performance initiatives

 Ranked #1 among those being honored this year is Caterpillar, Inc., in whose Leadership Quest program we have been delighted to participate.  Dave Vance, president of Caterpillar University, generously cites Duke CE in the magazine’s interview.
