Laurie Beyl serves as an integral member of a team that designs, administers and delivers innovative educational experiences for a variety of clients. Most recently, she has worked with Nationwide, The Nature Conservancy and Verizon.
Before joining Duke CE, Laurie worked for Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. where she established the University of Toyota’s Center for Leadership Development. Under her guidance, many of the company’s first-ever leadership development programs were initiated and successfully delivered. Audience levels included company executives, middle managers, and professional level staff. One of her interests is to help individuals “discover, develop and deliver” their own, unique leadership voice. She worked to instill the value that leadership exists at all levels within an organization and that all leadership voices must be fully leveraged if the organization is to realize its full potential.
Prior to Toyota, Laurie was employed at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in the Office of Executive Development and assisted with the development and delivery of customized executive education programs. Preceding that, she spent several years working in Student Affairs with the Office of Orientation Programs. In this capacity, she helped incoming students and their families with their adjustments to the university environment by creating programs and publications that supported their needs.
Laurie holds an MBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a B.A. in Psychology and Human Development from the University of California-Riverside.
