Jane Sommers-Kelly

Managing Director

Jane Sommers-Kelly is a managing director at Duke Corporate Education, coming from INSEAD, where she had been the Director of Company Specific Programmes within Executive Education. Designing and delivering programs for corporate clients such as SAP, Unisys, Nokia and HSBC, Jane brings her business career instincts  to design, aiming for relevance of learning.  Designing for business  results, and even measuring these results post-program, are important elements to consider.

She joined INSEAD in 1998 as Director of  Development building relations with US-based corporates, and then became a managing director of INSEAD OnLine.  Here she built an online learning capability for INSEAD so that clients could extend their learning beyond the classroom.  Her team were able as a result to design and deliver Blended Learning Programs with numerous clients and web-links for all clients.

Prior to INSEAD, Jane spent 13 years in the financial industry: six on Wall Street with JP Morgan investment banking in New York City and then with Bankers Trust running their Czech and Slovak businesses from Prague.

Jane earned an MBA from INSEAD and graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead Scholar.
