Carrie Painter
Managing Director
Managing Director Carrie Painter joined the company in August 2004 as a project director, working collaboratively to develop and deliver customized educational experiences with her team, educators, and clients including Linde AG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Verizon. She has become increasingly involved in the design process, has facilitated a behavioral learning lab experience we call Building Bridges, and most recently parleyed an interest she shares with her husband—land conservation—into a program for The Nature Conservancy, one of America’s top 15 charities as measured by private donations.
Before coming to Duke CE, Carrie was a member of the Fuqua School of Business team that launched The Duke MBA-Cross Continent program. As director of operations, she managed program logistics, coordinated with faculty, developed and managed the operating budget, and held responsibility for vendor relationship management. Prior to joining Duke, Carrie spent several years working at Dartmouth College.
Carrie holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, an MA in Public Administration from Framingham State College, and a BS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
