Regional Managing Director, Europe & Africa
Tim Last is a Managing Director for Duke Corporate Education, leading our European office and joint venture with London School of Economics.
Tim’s expertise ranges across executive education and organization development, including program design, teaching and facilitation. He is also responsible for client relations and the direction of programs for Duke Corporate Education clients, as well as representing the company in Europe.
Current teaching interests and projects include the successful inception and support of virtual teams – an increasing expectation of any global organization. Tim led the creation of the Team Diagnostic Tool, used by Duke Corporate Education to assess effectiveness of virtual teams. Other interests include sustaining performance through downturn in those businesses dependent on human capital. A regular speaker on a range of executive development issues, Tim skillfully balances insights from both an academic and a practical perspective.
Prior to assuming his current role, Tim blended a banking career with over 10 years experience in management and organization development, including senior roles with Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust and Lloyds TSB. A continuing theme during this period was involvement with acquisitions - a total of 7 to date, yielding a wealth of practical experience.
Tim has led and participated in consulting projects and executive education programs with Amvescap, British Telecom, Deutsche Bank, Ford, GlaxoSmithKline, Kingfisher, Lloyds TSB, Pearson and Schering.
Accredited in the use of a range of psychometrics, Tim has also worked as an internal coach to senior professionals. He has an MBA and is a member of the British Psychological Society, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Chartered Institute of Bankers. |
