Michelle Hoover
Director, Global Learning Resource Network - NY
Michelle Hoover has been with Duke Corporate Education since July 2005. Her work in the firm’s Global Learning Resource Network consists of building and maintaining relationships with members of Duke CE’s worldwide network of educators and matching those educators to client programs. She heads the GLRN efforts for the New York office.
Michelle, a former journalist, has written and edited for several newspapers on the East Coast, including The Philadelphia Inquirer, where her focus was on local, national and international news and sports. Highlights of her career at the newspaper include working on the coverage for an organized-crime trial in Philadelphia, the war in Afghanistan, and the four major professional sports teams in the city. Michelle also served as a journalism lecturer, presenting workshops and teaching news writing for various national organizations, including the Columbia Scholastic Press Association at Columbia University.
Her graduate work concentrated on American colleges and universities, with special emphasis on organizational design, governance, culture issues, and leadership theory.
Michelle earned her Ed.M. from Harvard University and a B.A. from Penn State University. |
