Kathy Hammond is a Managing Director at Duke Corporate Education, where her role includes designing and developing customised corporate education programmes for a variety of European corporations, and client relationship management.
Kathy’s design and teaching interests centre on consumer behaviour, particularly patterns of consumer purchasing, brand loyalty, and customer-to-customer recommendation – and their implications for customer relationship management.
Before joining Duke Corporate Education Kathy was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at London Business School, and also co-founder and Director of London Business School’s Future Media Research Programme from 1998 to 2004. This programme provided a focus for research on new media products, trends, and consumer behaviour. Kathy is a frequent speaker and writer on ‘new media’ issues. She is also co-author of a short book, Predictions: Media.
Kathy has taught Brand Management and Customer Relationship Management and was Director of London Business School’s E-B2C Marketing Executive Programme. She has also been an advisor on marketing and media strategy to a variety of companies including British Airways, Ericsson, Heinz, Media Planning Group, MCL, PricewaterhouseCoopers and UBS. Her PhD, from London University, is in consumer behaviour.
