Marty Linsky

Marty Linsky is chairman and a co-founder of Cambridge Leadership Associates.  He is also a faculty member at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a member of the Duke Corporate Education Global Learning Resource Network. 

In addition, he is a consultant, facilitator, and trainer in leadership, ethics, external relations, press relations, political relations, communications, strategic planning and discussion-based teaching for a wide range of public and private sector clients in the United States and globally. 

Marty previously was Chief Secretary and Counselor to Governor William Weld of Massachusetts; Assistant Director, Institute of Politics, Harvard University; Executive Editor, The Advocates, PBS; Editor, The Real Paper;   Editorial Writer and Reporter, The Boston Globe; member and Assistant Minority Leader of the Massachusetts House of Representatives; and Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 

Marty has published numerous book chapters and articles.  His most recent book, co-authored with Ronald Heifetz, is Leadership on the Line: Staying Alive Through the Dangers of Leading.  He is the author of The View From the Top, his report on conversations with fourteen people who will be leading journalism organizations in the 21st Century; and is co-author with Ed Grefe of The New Corporate Activism and author of Impact: How the press Affects Federal Policy Making).

Marty is a graduate of Williams College and Harvard Law School.
