Bruce McBratney
A member of the Duke Corporate Education Global Learning Resource Network, Bruce McBratney consistently receives high marks as an educator, orchestrator, and consultant. His depth of experience encompasses the disciplines of leadership development, organization design, and competitive and corporate strategy. He is an integrative thinker, with a passion for making learning relevant and practical. Bruce is the founder of McBratney Consulting, a firm that designs and delivers executive education, leadership coaching, and management off-sites and workshops that are powerful catalysts for fresh thinking, frank dialogue, and strategic change.
Bruce has worked with several Duke CE clients including Altera, Fidelity, Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Suncor, and Sun Life Financial. In addition to comfortably working in diverse industries, he also brings a global perspective. He has worked with clients in Canada, Malaysia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, as well as with the US subsidiaries of other non-US global corporations.
Before starting his own firm in 2000, Bruce held leadership positions at RR Donnelley, one of the world’s largest printing and media services companies, and at Amoco Corporation (now a part of BP). Earlier in his career, he was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, and the Forum Corporation.
Bruce holds a Master’s degree from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, where he concentrated in strategy implementation and organizational change, and is a graduate of Amherst College. Bruce is the co-author of “How Leaders of Multi-business Groups Can Add Value,” and author of “Leadership Off-sites that Produce Insight and Action.”
