Tanushri Banerjee

Associate Director, Operations and Technology

Tanushri joined Duke CE in early 2007 to help establish India office operations. She works with Duke CE staff and internal and external faculty to design and deliver innovative educational experiences to clients and program participants and is responsible for technology, infrastructure and program support for creating an effective office environment that supports the overall strategy of the Duke CE India and IIMA collaboration.

One of her primary responsibilities includes managing the Technology and Operations Infrastructure for India under the direction of the Duke CE global mandate. Her responsibilities also include project and program management for the Duke CE India office. She has managed the technology-based education component in Duke CE’s program at Infosys and SBI besides coordinating the IBM program and managing the Bank of America Continuum Solutions Pvt. Ltd. program.

Tanushri has 15 years of experience divided between teaching and industry. Prior to joining Duke CE, she was Faculty at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad-based Business School, teaching Information Sciences. She has previously worked at Abbott Laboratories in Chicago for two years as an Information Analyst. She was also Manager of Information Systems at Torrent Pharmaceuticals and Mudra Institute of Communications and has been a Visiting Faculty at Nirma Institute of Management, India teaching the MBA level program.

Tanushri has an undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering from M.S. University, Baroda, India. She has her Masters Degree in Information and Decision Sciences from the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) and a Ph.D. in Marketing Information Systems from M.S. University, Baroda, India. She lives on the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad campus, where the Duke CE office is also located, along with her husband and two children.
