Penny Asher

Managing Director

Penny joined the DukeCE team in April 2008 focusing on the ArcelorMittal Talent Pipeline. She has since worked with a number of clients such as BP, Bonnier and Novo Nordisk. As a Managing Director, she manages client relationships; leads the DukeCE client team and drives the design and development of the programmes, ensuring the highest quality deliverables. She is involved in projects from conception to completion.

Penny likes to call herself a “generalist” as she has significant, broad ranging, business experience within many countries. She likes nothing better than a challenge, whether it be in the work environment or in her personal life.

Penny has considerable exposure to operations, project management and IT. She has previously worked for Andersen Consulting, Ernst & Young, and most recently for Aon Re in Bogota, Colombia. As operations director, she was responsible for the day-to-day operational running of a multi-million dollar business, including finance, planning, process/compliance, human resources and systems. Prior to relocating to Colombia, Penny was a senior international business consultant for Aon Re International based in London and Mexico City. In this role, she was also the Information Technology coordinator for the Latin American region, and was responsible for strategic planning for a number of offices.

She has led major projects such as the Year 2000 compliance of all Aon Re’s global offices, as well as ensuring readiness for the launch of the Euro.

Penny has been described as a fitness “freak” having completed a number of triathlons, and is a keen wildlife watcher in remote parts of the world.

Penny has a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Bath and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
