Penny Asher

Project Director

Penny joined the DukeCE team in April 2008 focusing on the ArcelorMittal Talent Pipeline. As a project director, she is involved in client relationship management, engaging appropriate external educators for tailored programs; program design and development; and overseeing program implementation including managing project finances. She is involved in projects from conception to completion.

Penny is an experienced general manager with considerable exposure to operations, project management and IT, gained in an international and multi-cultural work environment.

She has previously worked for Andersen Consulting, Ernst & Young, and most recently for Aon Re in Bogota, Colombia. As operations director, she was responsible for the day-to-day operational running of a multi-million dollar business, including finance, planning, process/compliance, human resources and systems. Prior to relocating to Colombia, Penny was a senior international business consultant for Aon Re International based in London and Mexico City. In this role, she was also the Information Technology coordinator for the Latin American region, and was responsible for strategic planning for a number of offices.

She has led major projects such as the Year 2000 compliance of all Aon Re’s global offices, as well as ensuring readiness for the launch of the Euro.

Penny has a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Bath and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
