Nikhil Raval

Project Director  

Nikhil Raval joined the team in Duke CE’s India Office in June 2007. He comes with rich experience from both the corporate and academic world.

Prior to Duke CE, he was the Senior Manager of New Initiatives at Mudra Communications in Ahmedabad. At Mudra, he was in charge of various Business Development initiatives, in particular building corporate and international linkages for the Institute. He was also faculty at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) for two years, teaching finance and management. While at EDI, Nikhil worked in a European Union-sponsored project providing management solutions for the rehabilitation of small and medium-sized companies in Gujarat. He has also conducted training programs on Project Appraisal for bankers in India and industry executives from developing countries under the ITEC Program of Government of India. He conducts guest sessions on management and finance at several local institutes and is currently Visiting Faculty at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT).

Prior to his return to India in 2002, Nikhil spent nine years in financial services within the corporate sector in the U.S. He was involved in a variety of roles, including financial brokering, fund accounting, internal auditing, financial planning and client servicing for companies including American Express, Franklin Templeton, Charles Schwab and California Federal Bank.

Nikhil earned a Bachelor's in Finance from Michigan State University and an MBA in Strategic Management from California State University. His area of interest includes understanding markets, investments, and corporate strategy, while his hobbies include basketball, trekking and music.
