He also introduced a leading-edge development framework for all HR professionals, and led the introduction of a comprehensive Talent Management strategy for the whole organisation (>100,000 people).

His previous organisations included: Barclays, where he held a number of senior Global and/or Group OD and L&D roles, facilitated the transformation of the L&D function and supported the broader HR transformation; Kimberly-Clark, where he was responsible for European Training & Development and Graduate Recruitment; Wellcome (now part of GlaxoSmithKline), where he had roles in IT and Management Development.  He has also spent 4 years in management consultancy, with international clients in Energy, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals and Logistics, with projects including the design and implementation of empowered team-based organisations, creating and implementing a modular leadership development programme, and the facilitation of business process reengineering projects.

Mick has more than 15 years experience as an executive coach, working with emerging and top talent, and working with senior leadership teams across many economic sectors.  He has a degree in Maths & Computer Science from Manchester University and an MBA from Brighton Business School. He is an NLP Master Practitioner, and holds a certificate in OD practice from the US NTL Institute. He is also experienced in assessment tools, being trained to British Psychological Society levels A and B. He is married with two children, is passionate about individual, team and organisational development and football, being a lifelong Leeds United fan, which proves he is also an eternal optimist!
