Gordon Armstrong

Director, Marketing Communication and Competitive Intelligence

Gordon Armstrong is director of Marketing Communication and Competitive Intelligence at Duke Corporate Education.

His accountabilities include marketing strategy, building awareness, creating interest, and supporting business development, as well as marketing research and analysis. Those are part of a broader agenda of understanding and influencing the corporate education marketplace.

Prior to Duke CE, Gordon was at Ocean Spray Cranberries where he developed and implemented a marketing knowledge management strategy for increasing the speed and quality of marketing decision-making. He also managed a team-focused approach to the integration of consumer attitudinal research with behavioral analyses. Prior to Ocean Spray, Gordon was at the Pillsbury Company engaged in statistical analysis of marketplace data.

Before moving to the business world, he was on the research faculty at the University of Minnesota evaluating health care delivery systems.

Gordon has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
