Dennis Baltzley

Head of Duke Signature Solutions

Dennis Baltzley is the Head of Duke Signature Solutions.

Prior to joining Duke CE, Dennis enjoyed the challenge of being the Global Head of Leadership Development for Royal Dutch Shell and managed all of Shell Learning staff, and Learning Centre in the Hague. He started at Shell in 2003. He has had a convoluted career path before Shell as a police officer, Human Factors Engineer, Psychologist, HR Director and most recently, managing 10 European offices of a consulting firm specializing in leadership development and talent systems from their Geneva office.

With his background in Leadership Development and managing a service organization, Dr. Baltzley helped Shell create an enterprise-wide Learning architecture, and build leaders across all levels who are highly effective in moving Shell's businesses forward. Dennis personally ran Shell’s CEO level development programs. As a Learning professional, he is personally motivated to ensure Leadership development and learning has a measurable impact, moving people to change in ways that result in effective action.

He is fresh from helping the Shell Group and energized to help Duke CE formulate and execute this new extension of their business beyond the strong custom reputation they enjoy today.

Dennis holds a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from Tulane University . He has two children and is mildly fanatical about his Harley (motorcycle). He enjoys skiing but describes his style as disturbingly unbalanced!
