Cheryl Stokes

Executive Director, Learning Innovations Team

As part of the Learning Innovations Team, Cheryl focuses on designing and delivering cutting-edge learning experiences for both face-to-face and virtual environments. Cheryl also designs, teaches and coaches in programs in the areas of strategy, productive dialogue, systemic thinking and other organizational learning disciplines.

Before her role as an Executive Director, Cheryl was Vice President, Global Learning Methods at Duke CE, where she led a team of professionals focused on developing innovative experiential and non-traditional learning experiences for Duke CE’s clients around the world.

Prior to joining Duke CE, Cheryl was director of organization capability for The Coca-Cola Company, where she developed integrated learning strategies for building business capabilities. As an internal consultant, she traveled extensively and worked with divisions in Europe, Russia, Latin America and the Philippines in addition to her work with the Minute Maid Company and North America Operations.

Cheryl’s interest in organizational and team learning started early in her career as an electrical and process engineer for the Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) where she worked with production and electrical support teams. Her diverse background includes work in engineering, metallurgy, quality and diversity for Alcoa, as well as work in product engineering and vehicle simulation for the Buick-Oldsmobile-Cadillac Division of General Motors Corporation.

Cheryl holds Master’s degrees in Management and in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from GMI Engineering & Management Institute (formerly General Motors Institute).
